identities 2015 Film Awards

identities 2015 ended on Saturday, 20 June, 2015 after 10 wonderful festival days at the Filmcasino.

In this year's especially cineastic program line-up with many long due rediscoveries of classics and impressive documentaries newest festival highlights and historically important productions were equally highly sought after by the audience.

Renowned filmmakers like Pratibha Parmar (Alice Walker: Beauty in Truth) - came to to Vienna to present their impressive films, Standing Ovations and long applause marked the night of the Austrian Premiere of the Swiss docudrama The Circle (Der Kreis) with the protagonists Ernst Ostertag and Röbi Rapp in attendance, memorable nights with totally sold out screenings - for expample  Appropriate Behavior, FtWTF, My Name Is Annemarie Schwarzenbach, Long Time Love, The Normal Heart and Regarding Susan Sontag and many more will long be remembered.

identities 2015 thanks its funders, sponsors and all its partners, who made the festival possible. And the biggest THANK YOU goes yet again to our wonderful audience holding up to an unbearable heatwave and sauna like  temperatures in the movie theaters (no there is still no airconditioning in our arthouse gems!) and celebrating their love of movies and experiencing them together on a big screen.

Have a gorgeous summer with sun and dolce vita!
See you again in the fall with new films and new premieres!

All the very best from the identities 2015-Team
